Madison Co. Jury Reaches Verdict in Knoxville Trial

JACKSON, Tenn.- A jury from Madison County has reached a decision in the retrial of a Kentucky woman who is accused of facilitation of murder in a Knoxville torture case.
The jurors reached a guilty verdict in Knoxville just before 4, Tuesday afternoon. The jurors went back to work Tuesday morning after deliberating for a short time, Monday.
Vanessa Coleman of Lebanon, Kentucky was found guilty of all counts with the exception of one count of facilitation of first degree murder.
She was originally charged with 17 counts of facilitation of murder, kidnapping and rape in the 2007 attack on Channon Christian, 21, and Christian's boyfriend, Christopher Newsom, 23.
A new trial was ordered after the trial judge acknowledged drug use during her first trial.
