Madison County Attorney Chosen as Finalist for State Judgeship

DOWNTOWN JACKSON -- The attorney for Madison County is now one of just three finalists up to fill a vacancy on the state court of appeals.

Steve Maroney is the only candidate not from from Shelby County. The other two finalists are Chancellor Kenny Armstrong and attorney Oscar C. Carr III.

The governor's commission for judicial appointments interviewed the applicants on Friday, and will present Gov. Haslam with three finalists to choose from.
