MADISON COUNTY, Tenn.-To be good stewards of the taxpayer's money, Madison County leaders say they want to make sure they are using county vehicles appropriately.
That is why at next week's Madison County Commission meeting, commissioners are set to consider a vehicle use policy for county departments.
This comes as a result of audit findings that made county officials want to ensure there were appropriate policies for vehicle in place for each department.
Mayor Jimmy Harris said some departments already had policies in place such as the sheriff's dept, parks and recreation and juvenile court services.
County leaders took those policies, reviewed them and made a few changes in different policies.
