Madison Oaks Academy Employee Arrested on Rape Charges
JACKSON Tenn.- A staff member of Madison Oaks Academy was arrested early Thursday morning, and was accused of having sex with a 13-year-old female teen staying at the center.
Jackson Police responded to the treatment center for teens with emotional and behavior disorders, after another employee claims he saw Larry McIntosh, 24, and the young teen.
"When you have a place that is there to help children and someone gets violated in a place like that, it is even more tragic," said Jackson resident Tamarin Huelin.
Larry McIntosh was arrested on charges of aggravated statutory rape and statutory rape by an authority figure.
"No matter what the situation or the circumstance, she is a child and the adult should have made the right decision to stop it," Megan Nolen told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News.
The Department of Children's Services is working with the Jackson Police on the case. Madison Oaks Academy has suspended McIntosh while the investigation is ongoing.
The first court appearance for McIntosh is set for Friday Morning.
