HENRY COUNTY Tenn. - Officers in Henry County are reporting major damage after Saturday's storms caused flooding in the area.

More than 16 roads were closed over the weekend due to high waters, and 14 roads were washed out.

"I've never seen the water this deep in this area," said resident Ben Taylor.

Taylor lives in Jacks Creek Trailer Park, where all residents had to be evacuated Saturday night. Five families lost their homes in flood.

"I don't have any furniture now," said Tay Smikle, whose home was full of mud and water. "I'm having to replace all of my beds. I lost all of my food other than can goods."

Members of the Paris and Henry County Rescue Squad said they rescued 28 people from cars and homes. Officers said they are thankful homes and roads are all that as damaged, and no one lost their life.
