Man Accused in Fatal Fire Misses Court

GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn.-The man charged in a January fire in Bradford that killed his traveling companion is wanted after failing to show up for court, Tuesday.

Robert Lee Phillips is charged with reckless burning and vandalism,
and for now does not have an attorney.

The lawyer representing him asked to be removed from the case, which the judge granted.

Terry Lee Drury died in the fire inside an abandoned home, officers said due to smoke inhalation and burns.

Investigators said Drury and Phillips had taken shelter in the abandoned home. Phillips is not suspected in her death.
