WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News Staff

JACKSON, Tenn.- WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News was expecting to hear
more about the alleged crimes of a Jackson security guard, accused of defacing sacred Jewish documents. However, that did not happen.

Instead of moving forward with his preliminary hearing, Justin Shawn Baker, waived his right, allowing the case to be sent straight to a Madison County grand jury.

Baker is charged with vandalizing a Torah and other Jewish documents that were in a room at the Doubletree Hotel, where he was working as a contracted security guard.

A request by his attorney for a reduction in his $100,000 bond was denied, Thursday.
