MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. – A man was arrested in Madison County after a stand-off with sheriff’s deputies.
According to Sheriff David Woolfork, deputies were trying to serve a criminal subpoena on a woman who was an alleged domestic assault victim. When they went to the home in the 30 block of Medon-Malesus Road just after noon Wednesday, deputies said a person inside refused to open the door.
Upon investigation, deputies learned Larry Pruitt, Sr. was inside the residence with the alleged victim. Pruitt had previously been ordered to have no-contact with the woman.
The woman and a child inside the home exited the residence without incident after a short time.
At approximately 3:00 p.m., members of the TACT team entered the residence and Pruitt reportedly surrendered without incident.
Pruitt is being held in the Madison County Jail where he awaits his first court appearance.
