Man Caught in Benton County for Theft out of Madison County

BENTON COUNTY, Tenn. - Benton County deputies and Camden Police responded to a call about a man wanting to commit suicide. Officers responded and took Thomas Stevens into custody, guns and ammunition were also taken.
After being in custody it was found Stevens was wanted out of Madison County for theft of firearms. Officers believe those confiscated match the description of the items stolen.
Stevens was taken to the Benton County Jail for holding and transported to the Madison County Jail. Stevens will likely face charges in Camden, but in the meantime is expected to face those in Madison County first.
