Man Charged with Burglarizing Local Businesses

A Jackson man accused of going door-to-door to businesses near North Highland Avenue and Old Hickory Blvd, trying to break into them, has been arrested.

Vernon Livingston, 26, is charged with six counts including burglary, attempted burglary and possession of crack cocaine. He is being held without bond because of an outstanding warrant from Trenton.

Officers arrested Livingston outside Cash in a Flash while responding to an alarm call. Livingston and another man, who was able to get away, are accused of trying to break into Cash in a Flash and The Mattress Source and successfully burglarizing Tyler's Locksmith.
