A Madison County man has been charged with raping a child.
According to officials, Joshua Rose, 35, of Jackson has been charged with rape of a child, child abuse and neglect.
An investigation revealed that the suspect sexually assaulted a 5 year-old-female during the summer of 2011.
Rose was being held at the Criminal Justice Complex. His arraignment has not been scheduled at this time.
The investigation is continuing.
