Man Charged with Trying to Rob Business by Threatening to Blow it Up

JACKSON, Tenn.-A rather bizarre threat during an attempted robbery lands a Jackson man in jail.
According to police reports, Willie Savage is charged with attempted aggravated robbery, aggravated assault and making bomb threats at a West Jackson clinic, Saturday.
Investigators said they were called by an employee of Jackson Professional Associates on the Highway 45 ByPass concerning a man carrying a black trash bag, who demanded money and threatened to blow up the building.
Officers spotted and arrested Savage at a nearby convenience store.
The suspect said he knows the security guard at the clinic and that was the reason he was there. Savage appeared in city court, Monday morning.
His bond was set at $50,000 and he was ordered to undergo a mental evaluation.
