Man Found Stabbed To Death in Haywood County
HAYWOOD COUNTY, Tenn.- Haywood County Sheriff Deputies and agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation are investigating
after one man was found dead with multiple stab wounds on Sunday.
Just outside of Brownsville city limits on Key Corner road, TBI agents said the body of Noisy Gene Coble, 50, of Bells was found slouched over the steering wheel of a 2000 Ford Expedition that was parked on the shoulder near the entrance of an isolated field road.
"Well, it was early this morning right before we were getting ready for church and we seen the deputies pull out. They were running pretty fast, and then it wasn't long until the ambulance came around behind them," said neighbor Cherrie Poole."We really have good protection, good police protection, and you just don't hear of anything around here you know, not in this neighborhood and not in this area."
Officials said Coble was found by a passer-by who called the Haywood County Sheriff office for help. TBI Agents said the Haywood County Sheriff Officer found Coble deceased with multiple stab wounds and determined the death was a homicide. The District Attorney General then requested TBI to investigate.
"There are a few farmers back there. It's a hidden area. I guess if somebody was going to do something, that would be an area they could. It's just farm land, and there is not many houses in that area,"said Poole.
No arrests have been made. Anyone with information that could help authorities is urged to call the Haywood County Sheriff's Office at 731-772-6158 or the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
