Man Held in Homicide Case Now Charged

JACKSON, Tenn.-A Jackson man has been charged in the shooting death of a local college student.
Terrance Greer, 25 is charged with criminally negligent homicide in the Wednesday night shooting death of Kimberly Lindsay, 20.
According to police, Lyndsay and Greer were rough housing on a sofa at a friend's house when the man's gun suddenly went off.
Authorities said Greer had placed a gun on a sofa and when Lyndsay asked him to move it, it discharged striking Lyndsay once. She was
pronounced dead at the hospital, around 11:30 Thursday morning, more than 8 hours after she had been shot.
Greer pleaded guilty for possession of cocaine greater than half a gram with intent to sell and unlawful possession of a weapon the same morning of the shooting.
Friday, the district attorney's office to revoke Greer's bond based on the new arrest. The bond revocation hearing is set from Monday in Circuit Court.
