Man Injured In South Jackson Shooting

JACKSON, Tenn. - Jackson police are investigating a shooting that injured a man in the leg in the Bemis area early Saturday morning.

According to police, the victim was walking along Jefferson Street, when he said a white Chevrolet Impala passed him, and someone inside of the car shot him in the leg.

He was transported to the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police said they have no physical description of the shooter, and no suspects.
