Man Makes Plea Deal in Child Rape Case

JACKSON, Tenn.- A Jackson man has admitted to raping a 5-year-old girl last summer as part of a plea deal.

Joshua Rose, 35, entered a best interest plea Wednesday, which is
basically a guilty plea to lesser charge of aggravated sexual battery and was sentenced to 12 years in prison.

He was originally charged with rape of a child and child abuse and neglect.

He will now be placed on the sexual offender registry for life.
