Man Riding Across Country for Wounded Veterans

A special veteran with a very special mission made his way through the Hub City, Monday.
Marine Corporal Scott King passed through Jackson as he makes his solo cross-country bicycle trip to raise awareness and funds to help combat wounded veterans.
King is currently on the second leg of his journey that includes a stop in every state of the lower 48.
"I think we should have Memorial Day everyday, you know," said Scott King, U.S. Marine Veteran. "We shouldn't just have it on one day when we thank the fallen, we should thank them all the time no matter what day it is and that's how I look at it."
Between May and October of last year, King biked 6,025 miles. On this leg of the journey, he will bike 8,000 miles as he travels from Maryland to Salem, Oregon. He is schedule to arrive there on September 28.
