JACKSON, Tenn. - Jackson police are trying to identify a man who is believed to have stolen a woman’s wallet from the motorized shopping cart she was using.

According to investigators, the woman was using the motorized cart at the Kroger on West University Parkway, Monday. She told police that as she entered the store she noticed a black man wearing a dark grey hoodie was shadowing her.

The victim said she placed some medical equipment over her purse to try and cover it up but the man continued to be near her as she shopped.

Suddenly, the victim reported noticing the man had disappeared and so had her wallet.

Police said surveillance showed the suspect apparently following the woman around the store. At one point in the video, the suspect is clearly in reach of the victim’s wallet.
