Man Who Ran From Deputies In Henderson Co. Arrested
CARROLL COUNTY, Tenn. - Carroll County deputies have caught the man who fought with deputies and ran into the woods, Tuesday morning.
Deputies arrested Alexander Cawthon in the woods of Carroll County Wednesday.
Deputies said local residents spotted Cawthon Wednesday morning and officers went out to find him. He was using a woman's telephone to get someone to pick him up. When Cawthon saw the deputies he ran back into the woods.
Sheriff Andy Dickson said deputies and local residents set up a ground perimeter near New Liberty Church and Water Tower Road. Cawthon was found hiding in a bottom area and arrested.
Sheriff Dickson said Cawthon will be charged with evading arrest in Carroll County. He will also be charged with evading arrest and driving on a suspended license in Henderson County.
