JACKSON Tenn.- A North Jackson man claims his 5-year-old dog, Toby, has been attacked twice by other area dogs.
Randy Mann claims 3 dogs attacked Toby Sunday afternoon, leaving the Rat-Terrier mix in an animal hospital with serious injuries.
The family filed a police report last week, after the first attack by the dogs on their property.
"We've decided to try and save him, but he only has a 20% chance to live." said Mann
Mann says he wants the dogs off the streets before the next victim is a child.
Jackson Police are investigating the attacks and the owners could be facing Leash Law violations.
Mann contacted WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News late Sunday to report the pet had not survived.
