March Madness Underway

JACKSON Tenn. - March Madness is officially underway with the release of the field of 68 teams dancing in this years NCAA men's basketball tournament.

Dozens of West Tennesseans filled the Buffalo Wild Wings on Vann Drive to watch Selection Sunday coverage, hoping to hear their favorite teams announced.

"My favorite team is Mississippi State, but they didn't really have a good year this year," Trey Bain told 7 Eyewitness News.

Several Ole Miss fans who attended the SEC Championship in Nashville made a special stop in the Hub City to see where their team would be seeded.

"We had looked last night to see where we could go to watch Selection Sunday, since we couldn't make it all the way back to Oxford in time," said Mississippi native Will Forester.

Many fans said they would immediately be filling out tournament brackets. Some even already had a potential champion in mind as March Madness has swept the nation.
