Mardi Gras is already underway in the Hub City. It all started on Saturday with the downtown Jackson Mardi Gras parade.

Organizations and families showed off their decorated bikes, wagons, floats and even strollers for the little ones. Monday night, a king and queen of the festivities will be crowned at the Downtown Tavern.

Tuesday is Fat Tuesday, with a gumbo cooking contest and of course, the Big Mardi Gras parade. It will roll through downtown with floats, decorated cars and those in costumes throwing out beads.

Storm Team 7 Chief Forecaster Gary Pickens will serve as the parade's
Grand Marshal.
