Mayor Gist Hosts Civic Pride Awards

Jackson, Tenn. - Individuals and businesses who go above and beyond to "Keep Jackson Beautiful" were recognized with awards from Mayor Jerry Gist.

"Each of these citizens invest in the community," said Tammy Buchanan, "Keep Jackson Beautiful" Commission Member. "They understand what significant impact it means when they do their part to beautify and improve the community."

The mayor handed out 21 different awards.

*Commercial:
Service - Estate Renovations
Industrial - Packaging Corp of America
Retail Single Store - Walgreens
Retail Shopping Center - The Mustard Seed
Hospitality - Queen Bee's

*Institutional:
Educational - Union University
Church - St. Luke's Episcopal Church
Assisted Living - Morningside of Jackson

*Renovation:
Highland Ave. - Aspell Recovery Center, T.A.M.B

*Residential:
Apartments - Bradford Chase
6 Broadfield - Smith Residence
350 Hopper Barker - Meel Residence
