McDonald's Goes on Hiring Spree

JACKSON, Tenn. - Need a job? Owners of McDonald's restaurants throughout the Mid-South are hiring. Wednesday the restaurant hosted a local hiring day.
Owner-operators in West Tennessee, eastern Arkansas, north Mississippi, southwest Kentucky and southern Missouri hope to hire up to a 1,000 new workers.
Hundreds of job seekers took advantage of the opportunity to fill out applications at restaurants throughout the area. Owners said they are looking for part-time and full-time workers for all areas of service, from food preparation to upper management.
"If you are a mom or dad and you just need a second job for a few hours a week, this is a great opportunity to come do that," said Steve Lykins of McDonald's Corp.
Though the one-day hiring event has ended, those still interested in applying for a job can do so at any McDonald's.
