McKenzie PD Chief Stable After Motorcycle Wreck

McKenzie Police Chief Bobby Pate was listed in stable condition at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, as of Wednesday afternoon.

Pate underwent hours of surgery, Tuesday. He reportedly suffered broken ribs along with injuries to his neck, back and head. A report by the THP says Pate ran off the road and into the median of Highway 22 in McKenzie, Monday night.

The chief was on his way to escort the Bethel University in-line hockey team home after winning a national championship. No other vehicles were involved.
