MILAN, Tenn.- Some West Tennessee school's physical education programs got some added funding as part of the "Shape the State" program.
At Milan Middle School, Wednesday, a $10,000 check was presented for their physical education program. The money will be used to help improve the program and can be used however the school wishes.
Milan's P.E. teacher said the money will make it easier for their kids to have a longer activity time.
"It's going to make them more active. Instead of just having a few basketballs, four or five, now we can have about 50, where each kid is going to be able to have a basketball and have a longer activity period," said Scott Patterson, Physical Education teacher at Milan Middle School.
West Middle School in Jackson and the Sharon School also received the grant, Wednesday.
