The Miss Tennessee contestants continued to make the rounds, Tuesday with a stop for lunch with a local civic club.
The 36 contestants dined with members of the Jackson Exchange Club. The young women sat with members of the club talking about themselves and getting to know members of the club that have hosted the luncheon for a number of years.
Some of the participants said the week has been busy and hectic so far.
"I think the girls get to meet the people of the Jackson community and to see the support that is furnished through the Jackson area and I think they're always impressed when that happens," said Jane Alderson, the executive director for the Miss Tennessee Pageant.
The contestants are continuing rehearsals, judges interviews and prep for the opening night on-stage competition, which begins Wednesday night at 8.
Tickets are still available for the pageant which will continue for four nights at the Carl Perkins Civic Center. A new Miss Tennessee will be crowned Saturday night.
