Mitzi Shepard Sentenced on Meth Charges

JACKSON, Tenn.- An Adamsville woman facing federal drug charges, who earlier entered a guilty plea to one of the charges and then turned government witness, has been freed after a judge dismisses other charges against her.
Mitzi Shepard entered a guilty plea to possession of equipment, chemicals and materials used to make meth and aiding and abetting in its manufacture back on May 1.
The judge dismissed two other counts and then freed her for time served. Shepard was ordered to pay a fine of $1,000 and was placed on supervised release. She was arrested in August of last year.
