JACKSON Tenn.- The Jackson Police Department is searching for the gunmen who robbed the Royal Food Mart, Monday night.

One of the clerks working Monday, Todd Johnson, said four masked men ran into the store demanding money.

As one of the gunmen took more than $1,000 from the register, another gunmen fired a shot at the worker.

"I just held my hands up, and when I held my hands up that's when they shot the pistol at the floor. I almost got hit, but I'm like 'the Matrix'," said Johnson.

The thieves also got away with a workers cell phone, and four packs of Tennessee Lottery scratch-off tickets.

Jackson police were able to recover $60 the men dropped, after they fled on foot into the woods behind the store.

If you have any information that could help call Jackson Police at (731) 425-8400 or Crime Stoppers at (731) 424-TIPS.
