More than 100 people made their way to downtown Jackson Saturday to listen to live music.
Musicians livened up downtown for eight hours Saturday as part of the "Celebrate Downtown Jackson Music Festival." It featured bands like the Josh Smith Band, Fire of Mine, Sons of Song, and the Do Right Daddy's to name a few.
The free event was held just outside the Rockabilly Hall of Fame.
"We are so pleased that people now can come to a secure place and dance in life and listen to music and enjoy downtown," said organizer Henry Harrison.
Harrison said he hopes to plan more free live music events in downtown Jackson.
