JACKSON, Tenn. - Sam's Club presented Icon Sports NFL Camp with a $3500 check Saturday afternoon. Saturday was the last day for the 11th Annual NFL Players Youth Football and Cheer Camp.

Each year, hundreds of kids take part in the football camp taught by former NFL players. There, student athletes learn not only football and cheer leading techniques, but life lessons. Organizers said they were grateful for community leaders who give back.

"It's important for us to get out and give back to these kids and show them the basics of football, and let them know that they don't have to just grow up to want to be a professional athlete."

Camp volunteers say during the camp, they stress the importance of education and gang violence and alcohol prevention.
