JACKSON, Tenn.- Football season has come and gone, but a perfect regular season record last fall for the North Side Indians was reason to celebrate, months later.

Local businesses alumni raised nearly $4,000 to buy pullovers for the team, coaches and school administration.

The North Side alum said this event is necessary not only to celebrate the 13-1 season, but to let them know their hard work is appreciated.

"There is a lot of positive things going on in the public school system that may not otherwise get the attention that it deserves and these kids had a huge accomplishment this year and we need to highlight this year and let them know that we appreciate it," said Ryan Porter, North High School alumnus.

In all, 103 pullovers were handed out, Monday.
