Near-Record Breaking High Temperatures Across West Tenn.

Jackson, TN - Temperatures across West Tennessee soared into the upper 90s and even triple digits Sunday afternoon.

Jackson saw a high of 99 degrees - very close to the old record of 100 set in 1988.

At 5 p.m., Savannah reported a reading of 100 degrees.

Monday highs are expected to reach the upper 90s once again across the area. Jackson's forecast calls for 99 degrees. Monday's record for Jackson is also 99 degrees.

A cool down Tuesday is expected as a cold front moves through.

Hot weather returns through the rest of the week.
