New Traffic Signal Placed in Downtown Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn. - New traffic signal have been placed in downtown Jackson.

The lights were installed at the intersections of North Highland Avenue and College Street along with North Highland and North Liberty..

City planners said the lights were placed there to help allow vehicles easier travel to and from the new LIFT Wellness Center.

The City of Jackson's Engineering Department plans to have the signals flashing red and yellow beginning on Friday. They hope to have them in full working order as standard red, yellow and green signal lights on Monday, January 28, 2013.
