JACKSON, Tenn.- There is a new spot at the Jackson-Madison County Library for teens.

There was a dedication ceremony Thursday afternoon in the new teen room at the library's downtown Jackson location.

The furniture and computers for the room have been donated in memory of Sally Ford who was a longtime supporter of the library.

Organizers hope the new room will encourage more teens to enjoy what the library has to offer.

"When they left, 12-years-old went into the teens, was really no space for them here. So now we've created this space to hopefully bring them and it starting to bring them in," said Dinah Harris of the Jackson-Madison County Library.

The room is not only filled with books, it also has non-violent video games for teens to enjoy.
