JACKSON, Tenn.- Two servicemen are honored as a part of O'Charley's "Hometown Heroes" program.

Sergeant Major Ricky McKenzie and Army Major Jeff Crawford were shot last October while working at the Millington Army Recruitment Center.

McKenzie is originally from Martin and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service.

Crawford, a Jackson native, served a 12 month deployment as a part of "Operation Enduring Freedom."

"We got some wounds we took out of it, but we we're walking home and everybody got to sleep with their families. That's the big thing is going home to your kids," said Major Jeff Crawford of the Tennessee National Guard.

"If Sergeant Major Crawford had not taken action, someone would have died that day. I am a true believer in that," said Sgt. Maj. Ricky McKenzie of the Tennessee National Guard.

More than 50 different servicemen and women were honored last year as a part of O'Charley's Hometown Heroes program.
