Officer Involved Shooting in Tipton County

DRUMONDS, Tenn.-Two Tipton County deputies are on paid administrative leave after being involved in a fatal shooting, Monday evening.

Investigators said Charles McRaven, 31, died from multiple gunshots to his upper torso.

The deputies were called to a home in the Drumonds community just after 8 p.m.

They said McRaven came to the door carrying a long gun and refused to put it down, despite being told to do so. The officers said when he raised the gun, they fired.

McRaven lived at the home with his ex-girlfriend and ther three children. The TBI is investigating the shooting.
