One Arrested, One Wanted in Connection with Weekend Burglary

LEXINGTON, Tenn. - Lexington police are seeking the identity of a man who may have been involved in a weekend burglary.

Police believe two men broke into the Rent One on West Church Street at 4:23 a.m., Saturday. The pair reportedly stole two flat screen televisions from the business. Before they could steal anything else, police arrived on the scene, and the suspects fled.

After a short pursuit, police said the pair stopped their vehicle at the end of a dead end road and fled on foot. One of the men believed to be involved in the burglary, Claude Eric Thomas, Jr., was arrested a short time later at the local Walmart. The items stolen from Rent One were recovered by officers.

Another man was caught on surveillance cameras at the Walmart and police believe he may be the second man involved in the break-in. They are asking for the public's help to identify him.

If you can identify the man in the surveillance photos, contact Lexington Police at 731.968.6666.
