The Weakley County man convicted in the shooting of a Jackson Police officer after breaking into the Old Country Store two years ago has been sentenced to serve time in federal prison.
Monday, Christopher Osteen was sentenced to nine years and seven months for having a gun as a convicted felon.
Last November, he was sentenced to 17 years on state charges in the September 2010 burglary and shooting that injured officer Mark Headen.
Osteen was caught stealing salads, Moon Pies and soft drinks. Officer Headen was shot during a struggle outside the store.
