Paris to make back payments of mixed drink taxes to schools

PARIS, Tenn.- Paris is the latest in line of Tennessee cities to get a steep bill for unpaid mixed drink taxes to its school system.

The Henry County School System and Paris Special School District are supposed to receive funds from the city's mixed drink tax revenues, but have not received a dime for about 15 years. More than $150,000 is due.

The school systems have agreed to $115,000 for 10 years of back payments.
