JACKSON, Tenn. - Head Coach Emeritus of the University of Tennessee Lady Volunteers, Pat Summitt, was honored Saturday night at the annual West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation's Charity Gala.

Summitt received the Tigrett Award Saturday, even though she was not able to make it.

Summitt is the all-time winningest coach in NCAA basketball history.

The Tigrett Award was first given in 2006, in honor of Jackson native John Tigrett.

The award recognizes a Tennessean who has greatly contributed to society through his or her talents and leadership locally, nationally, and abroad.
