TRENTON, Tenn.- Giving back to his community is what one local basketball player did.

Friday, Peabody alum Nicchaeus Doaks held a basketball camp at the school to help future ball players with their skills. Doaks said he does not just want to teach young players about how to play basketball. He wants them to learn sportsmanship as well.

"Our youth, that's our future," said Nicchaeus Doaks, camp organizers. "You know I'm still 26 so I'm still young as well so I'm just trying to to show a younger generartion a good role and try to put them around positive people."

This is his first time Doaks hosted a basketball camp in Trenton and he invited other pro basketball player to help out.

About 50 kids attended this event.
