7 Eyewitness News was the first to report the 10-day suspension of a Jackson Police officer accused of using his patrol car to rendezvous with a woman while he was on and off duty.
here is a closer look at Officer Ken Stone's record. A review of the 15-year-veteran's personnel file shows five previous write-ups between 2001 and 2007.
In 2001, he was suspended one day for not showing up for a special duty assignment. In 2005, he was verbally warned for repeatedly being late for roll call.
In 2006, Stone was suspended for one day for leaving duty assignment, or patrolling in an unassigned area.
And in 2007, he was suspended three days for the same offense and warned after leaving his department-issued rifle in a police department office.
Stone has 10 days to appeal his latest 10-day suspension to the mayor.
