Pet owners enjoy opening weekend at new dog park
DOWNTOWN JACKSON -- The first opening weekend of Jackson's newest dog park came at the perfect time for animal lovers.
On Saturday, pet owners came out to the Lambuth Area Neighborhood Association's Dog Park at Jackson Walk.
Jackson City councilman Scott Conger cut the ribbon for the dog park grand opening on Friday.
Owners of our four legged friends say this is a great addition to the city.
"I think it will actually make the dog owners of Jackson actually feel like they have a place to go," Ben King said, a resident at Jackson Walk. "Dogs can only do so much in an apartment."
LANA hosted the leash cutting event on Friday.
