PINSON, Tenn.-The Pinson Ruritan Club said it is already making plans with what it will do with the old Pinson School.

First, the Madison County Commission must approve the $1 sale between the Jackson-Madison County School Board and the civic club.

The Ruritans told 7 Eyewitness News they would like to tear down the front portion of the building, which was damaged last month in a series of storms, but still intend to preserve the back portion of the school, which is where they hold their meetings.

Inspectors said that portion remains structurally sound.
