Pistol-whipping, Robbery Leaves Man Injured

JACKSON, Tenn – A man had to receive medical treatment after he and a woman who was with him were robbed and he was struck with a pistol.

According to Jackson police, they were called to the 700 block of East College Street around 10:30 a.m., Thursday morning.

A man and woman said they were getting out of their vehicle when three black men approached them and robbed them. During the theft, one of the suspects, who was carrying a gun, struck the man in the face with his pistol.

The man was treated at the scene by first responders.

The suspects reportedly fled on foot from the area.
