Man Arrested after Allegedly Taking Shotgun into Walmart

JACKSON, Tenn. – A Jackson teen was arrested after he allegedly took a shotgun into the south Jackson Walmart, Thursday.

According to police, George Andrew Wiggins, 18, walked into the store with the loaded shotgun around 6:00 p.m. He allegedly told police he did not leave the gun in his vehicle because he was scared it would be stolen.

He also reportedly told investigators that he went to the store to buy ammunition.

Wiggins was booked into the Madison County Jail on a charge of possession of a firearm with intent to go armed. His bond was set at $30,000.
