Police ID Man Allegedly Caught Stealing by Homeowner

JACKSON, Tenn. - Jackson Police have released the identity of a man they said attempted to break into an East Jackson home.

Authorities said 18-year-old Tommarion Williams of Medon has been arrested and charged with aggravated burglary and theft of property over $500.

He was arraigned in Jackson City Court Friday morning and remains jailed on $30,000 bond.

Police said Williams was attempting to break into a home in East Jackson, when the owner came home and confronted him at gunpoint.

Authorities confirmed that the homeowner has a valid handgun carry permit.

However, police believe Williams may have been working with an accomplice and they said the investigation is ongoing.
