NORTH JACKSON -- Around 7:50 a.m., Jackson police were called about a woman found dead in a car on the campus of Union University.
Union security found the woman on the parking lot behind Luther Hall. She has been identified as Union student, Olivia Greenlee, 21, of Jackson. Greenlee's body was inside her green 2001 Toyota Corolla.
Investigators and an assistant county medical examiner were called to the scene. A gun was found inside the car and the preliminary cause of death appears to be a gunshot wound.
Investigators routinely conduct a death investigation as if it was a homicide until they prove otherwise.
