HENDERSON, Tenn. - A woman stopped to give a ride to a stranger Wednesday morning and wound up the victim of a violent crime.

A woman in her late 60s was stopped by a man asking for a ride to Mifflin Avenue. The man told the woman to drive to the 400 block of Second Street Extended.

Investigators said the man pulled a gun and told the woman to take off her underwear. He took her purse and told her to get out of the car.

The man drove off in her 2003 Honda Civic. She ran to a house crying, banged on a door and received help from Amy Sarr.

"The lady runs to our home and said she just had been robbed by gunpoint and took her car and made her do some things that were inappropriate and she was scared. She was fixing to get raped," said Sarr. She was not sexually assaulted.

Henderson Police are looking for a black male in his late 20s, 6 feet tall and 200 pounds.
